The British comedy troupe Monty Python shines in their third full-length feature film, a hilariously wacky satire on all Bible films.
Brian (Graham Chapman) was laid in the manger in the stable next door and has been mistaken for Jesus of Nazareth ever since. Although this is annoying, Brian's life only becomes really complicated when he is mistaken for the Messiah and besieged day and night by numerous followers.
The cult film by the Monty Python troupe pokes fun at Romans, cults and entertainment two thousand years ago and parodies the kitsch of Bible films and historical spectacles. In the grand finale of the crucifixion scene, Eric Idle happily sings and whistles his song "Always Look on the Bright Side of Life".
